Raffles Hong Kong returned to Hong Kong Fashion Week for sophomore catwalk show
Raffles International College Hong Kong’s Fashion Show was successfully held at the Hong Kong Fashion Week on 8 July 2015! The show, entitled “Visceral Instinct”, showcased 10 collections designed by Raffles’ Bachelor of Design students and graduates, attracting representatives from industry leaders and media including D-Mop, H&M, Lane Crawford, ELLE China, Fox International, Lifestyle Asia, Textile Asia, SCMP, WGSN, Wall Street Journal and more to attend.
The 10 impressive collections were selected out of 250 garments, designed by an international portfolio of Bachelor Degree students and graduates majoring in Fashion Design from South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and Canada. The collections, which truly embody Raffles’ international approach to fashion design, are diverse and contemporary; stemming from in-depth conceptual research into topics ranging from the Joseon dynasty of Korea, through British 90s Oldschool Jungle subculture, to the troubled life of China’s last emperor.
The special guest designer, Raffles’ Bachelor of Design graduate Sue Suh with her label :8CUFF, showcased her brand new and unseen sophomore collection “The Great Kim” as the final collection of the show. At Raffles Fashion Show of Hong Kong Fashion Week 2014, her debut collection made such an impression that she was awarded both the ‘Brand Ready Award’ and the ‘Collection of the Year Award’. Following this, Sue went on to receive global acclaim including Vogue Talents 2014 by Vogue Italia, International Design Awards in Los Angeles and Mittelmoda Fashion Awards in Italy.
This year, a panel of A-list judges including Walter Ma - Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, Moiselle, Esquire HK, Boom Magazine, Mira Moon Hotel and :8CUFF presented four awards to the winning designers.

Collection of the Year Award – “The Passerby” by Eva Choi
